DARK KARMA BY JOYCE VERANDA GRAY

ABOUT THE BOOK
Criminals rarely feel remorse for their actions, think about the consequences of their deeds, or consider the impact they have on other’s lives. In fact people who break the law are often too focused upon what they want and how to get it, to even consider they are breaking the law or recognize that what they are doing is wrong.

Carlita Espinoza steals from a lady, Silvia Watkins, on the bus and buys things for herself and her friends. Darrel Hunter, known as Dray, shoots an anonymous stranger to ensure his acceptance into a gang. Josh Brimeyer dumps his junkie girlfriend after getting her hooked and supplying her habit.

They each focus on their reasons for acting rather than the effects they have had on their victims. But when they find themselves in the bodies of the innocent, Carlita, Dray and Josh must face the stark reality of the devastation they have caused.

The situation becomes harder as other people start to notice the strange behaviour of these individuals, and the bodies they once inhabited are found dead. When Carlita attracts the police’s attention as a suspect in the murder of her own self, will they believe her story? On the run together, will they find a way to get back to their old bodies?
